An impossible imagination

You forfeited a part of yourself
for a race so unworthy
What we would spare at all costs,
You surrendered,
With a certainty I cannot comprehend.
In darkness so profound
You manage to see.
You walk with confidence
When I cannot
You crouch to serve us
When we fail to serve you
