Having one's armpits probed by fingertips can be irritating, to say the least. When one happens to be strapped to a table as well and must endure such stimuli for several minutes on end (if not longer) it becomes another experience entirely. =3Related content

Not if you consider the source. The most common theory is that ticklishness evolved as a way to notice parasitic bugs on your skin before they cause problems. Armpits are a warm, soft place for something to burrow into, so they better be ticklish. I think most people would rather be ticklish than tick-infested, you know?

Armpits are an underrated tickle spot IMO. They're not as popular as the traditional tickle spots like the feet or belly, but a lot of the times the pits produce some excellent reactions.
