Description Full name- Aaron Hanley

Alias- Narrator, 14th Author

Age- 15 (14 in AWU)

Zodiac- Taurus♉

Personality- quiet and doesn’t like to reveal a lot about himself, clever and quick-thinking, kinda selfish but tries to do things for the greater good, has a good heart but often makes bad decisions, tends to get into trouble often, spends a lot of time regretting past choices and doubting himself, is very secretive and has few close friends, is a lot smarter than he seems and is good at noticing small details that most people would miss, is generally a hard worker, can be a little possessive, occasionally sassy, cautious and tries to stay away from risks, very chill and calm in the face of danger, hates being the center of attention, denies his emotions, has trouble letting go of the past and forgiving himself, pessimist

Orientation- heterosexual?? he's not sure, but most of his crushes have been girls

Backstory- Aaron grew up in a somewhat toxic environment. He was third of four kids; Shale , Carlos, Aaron, and Missy Hanley. The four of them stuck together and protected each other (though Shale started to distance herself from the rest of the family as she got older).  His mother was kind of unstable, and became violent when she got drunk (which she was a lot of the time). His father was a little nicer, but not much: he was a gambler and would do anything for money, and sometimes made his kids help him steal or cheat. Aaron’s grandfather Parker was more of a parent to the four kids than anyone else, and he helped them grow up strong despite their less-than-adequate parental figures.
At age eight, Aaron discovered he could control and reshape natural objects, despite it taking quite a bit of effort and focus. His grandfather told him that it was a genetic ability, known as their Author powers. This power had skipped a generation and missed Aaron’s dad, but Aaron had gotten it and learned to use it through his grandfather’s teachings. Only his Grandpa Parker and Shale knew about it; he never got around to telling his other two siblings and didn’t trust his parents with the knowledge.
Shale went missing when Aaron was ten, and was suspected dead. Each of his parents blamed each other and eventually split up, something that the rest of the family had known was on the horizon for years. His father took custody of Carlos and Missy, but Parker asked to be the one to take care of Aaron. His dad agreed, and Aaron and his grandfather moved to the city of Clarion (district of Sidra), where his grandfather had grown up. Aaron thrived in Clarion, making friends and slowly becoming more and more independent. He had gotten used to his Author powers by then, and was finally able to experiment with them without the worry of his parents finding out. Grandpa Parker passed away right after Aaron turned fourteen, and while he was greatly saddened by the loss of the last relative he trusted, he was still able to take care of himself and managed to slowly move on. Later that year, AWU happened, then he got stuck in prison for roughly 10 months, then Forgotten Demons happened. Go read those if you want the other shit he went through.
Aaron never saw his parents or other two siblings again, but he accidentally discovered that Shale had not been killed all those years ago like everyone suspected, and was now an assassin-for-hire. And unfortunately I can’t tell you how he discovered that because it’s extreme spoilers for War of Wither’s End

Biggest flaw- doesn’t like to take responsibility for his actions

Fears- being forgotten, unrequited love, never finding peace

Relationship status- ooohh is this gonna be too spoiler-y?? let’s see
Aaron slightly liked Minty, and spent a lot of time thinking about her in between AWU and FD (he was actually borderline depressed and went through a lot of self-hate during that time as well).
During FD, Minty made it very clear that she wanted nothing to do with him, and since he wanted to make up for his betrayal, he avoided her as much as possible. Myst began showing an interest in him, and the two of them clicked almost immediately, becoming close friends during the demons quest.
Whether they became more than that in WoWE, I’m not at liberty to say.

Weapon- copper-and-iron-tipped quarterstaff

Other- really good at whittling (worked in a carving shop when he still lived in Clarion)

Stories- the Author Trilogy (A World Unwound, Forgotten Demons, War of Wither’s End)

FD: www.wattpad.com/story/83580403…
WoWE: January, if all goes well with Forgotten Demons.

oh and here's a picture of his staff because I changed it:
