Warning I was really sad when I wrote this

Sigh.
All y'all that are in small fandoms
Book series or games or shows that seem to have basically no fanbase...
I feel ur pain
The HTTYD books never had much in the way of a fandom, and the little there was is basically dead now
It makes me sad

Honestly...This series shaped me into the evil author you know today. I grew up reading these books, growing up right alongside Hiccup, Fishlegs, and Camicazi.
The last four books are just...
They hurt.
In the big picture, the whole series hurts, especially the way I experienced it.
These three kiddos, going on their crazy adventures and defeating the odds every time...and then suddenly they're war-torn teenagers, trying to hold onto the last remains of their lives as their world is torn out from under them.
And all of their simple adventures were just part of one huge fated disaster

if you look at the first book and then the last, they don't seem like the same series.
Like whoa where did all this dEATH AND WAR COME FROM?!
