It't not often you can get two of them to stop and actually look at you without bolting.

These sheep look like a cross between sheep and goats! And is that a gopher hole I see?

Rebacan In reply to chalutplease [2009-06-24 17:02:13 +0000 UTC]

These are Swaledale sheep.[link] ) They are the main type of sheep you see in Cumbria.

That hole could be a gopher or a rabbit warren perhaps.

Yes you do see a few sheep up there in Wales. And Yorkshire, and... well... okay just about every square inch of countryside everywhere here. Sometimes I wonder who runs the country... us or the sheep.

I don't know about your country but over here I'd say that sheep could probably do a better job.

What, even with Obama!?

Over here right now, they could REALLY do a better job.

I wish we had Obama. We're just a tad north of his domain.

Ohh right. Sorry, Canada doesn't exist to the UK. Seriously, you would think it didn't. Our media sucks. I don't even know the name of your president... or even if he's a priminister! Haha. I do know my favourite sci-fi was shot there though so that must make it okay.

We don't mind flying under the radar although it does bug me when Americans who live on our border, don't know any more than you do.

Not to give a history lesson but our system is based on yours. Our Head of State is called the Governor General and he is the Queen's representative. Our political leader is the Prime Minister currently Stephen Harper. I believe Australia and other colonies who separated peacefully have much the same setup.

Huh really? You'd think we'd at least have some media coverage in that case. Haha. Mind you we hardly ever cover Australia either. I mean, it's all the way... over there. We don't really care about over there. Unless our soldiers are over there. At least we covered the bush fires.

That's one thing I can say about Canadians. We generally know what's going on in the world. Probably because it's so boring at home.

These two are; they're virtually tagnut free

Rebacan In reply to crowthius [2009-06-22 21:12:04 +0000 UTC]

Not wanting to appear thick, why is this day any different you may well ask, but is tagnut those coloured paint marks that usually deface most sheep?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crowthius In reply to Rebacan [2009-06-23 09:31:19 +0000 UTC]

That's a valid question and it doesn't make you appear thick at all. A tagnut is a glob of mud/filth/muck/whatever that sticks to the sheeps fleece and dangles down, usually towards the rear. They get in that mostly during the winter. They are also known as 'klingons'

Rebacan In reply to crowthius [2009-06-23 10:58:37 +0000 UTC]

That makes sense and I've seen some doozies.
I like term klingon, I'll remember that one and drive Richard crazy pointing them out.
