i blacked out and when i came to i had drawn a dead by daylight oc

not fully decided on her name but the lovely SakuraRoseLily suggested veronica and i think it fits her (and not just bc of the heathers reference in the pic lmao-)

my general idea for her is that she's from a slasher-esque background (bc i am nothing if not self indulgent) and she kind of had the role of the grungey older sibling/friend character who's more knowledgeable about the local killings than the "main" characters of the story. she inevitably ended up sacrificing herself for her peers (i'm thinking maybe a sister???), and ended up in the fog. now she's a survivor geared towards taking the pressure off of other survivors, kind of like meg but less chase-based, and laurie with less obsession-related perks.

her perks are kind of a "jack of all trades" deal with a focus on distraction/awareness of the killer, and i don't have names for them yet but i'll probably change that bc i love her dearly.

chase

i think her chase perk would be her "least" useful, and would probably be something that allows her to run faster for a short period of time when the killer switches from chasing another survivor to her. kind of like sprint burst, but specifically in the case of distractions!

killer aura reading

her killer aura reading perk would allow her to see the killer after a specific cue - maybe when they enter a chase? that would allow her to go and intercept the chase, or cause an audio cue to try and distract. it would probably be from a specific distance, and with a pretty big cooldown!

distraction

her distraction perk would involve creating a loud audio/visual cue at her location, good for when the killer is getting too close to other survivors. to balance it out, it would come with 3/5/8 seconds of removed scratch marks to get away, as well as a cooldown to prevent, uh, certain players from abusing the perk.

personality wise, i think she's very much the edgy older sister - she has resting bitch face and she can be rude and sarcastic, but if she likes you she'd kill for you (or, i guess, die for you). in a non-canon version of the game she'd probably argue with and taunt the killers (and get her ass handed to her) just for something to do.

unrelated but i imagine her having horror-inspired cosmetics (eg she ended up unintentionally based off of jennifer tilly as tiffany valentine) and also different alternative/goth inspired outfits - idk how legible it is but i imagine her default over-the-shoulder jacket to have horror themed patches on it, maybe even with some reference to the existing characters in game! she's a horror enjoyer!
