RIGHT! Season 2 could have been better but I did love it still because it showed sides of Shiro other than his calm, steady leader persona and him losing his top everytime Slav spoke made my heart all glowy and warm.

Yeah, s2 could have been better. It had it's moments, but it was also kinda slow. At least we got to see Shiro lose it and confirm that Keith is part Galra.

I just wish other characters didn't have to fall by the wayside to support Keith's #NotAllGalra initiative, namely Allura, Pidge and Hunk. They shouldn't have downplayed or discredited the distrust Allura felt when the news found out and Pidge should have been pissed that he left the team when he thought the Galra were tracking him after he got all mad at her in Season 1 for trying to leave to find her family. And poor poor Hunk. He is my special boy but he did not get the treatment he deserves at all. I want to know all about him and his story but we know almost nothing!!

Allura still should have trusted Keith. After all that he had proved in the series up until then shouldn't have been wiped away, like she did with him. And then her suddenly "I'm sorry for treating you like shit cuz of your bloodline" when he decided to do the suicide mission pissed me off. I get that she went through crap with losing her entire race (besides Coran), but that didn't mean she should treat Keith like that. He went through Hell and back for her multiple times. He showed his dislike for the Galra in a very prominent way.
Damn straight Pidge should have been pissed off. But they downplayed her a lot this season too. We didn't get much on what happened to her father and Matt, except for that small bit at the end. They're definitely dragging out her story line, which can be okay, but at least give us something more to chew on other than Matt being rescued by rebels in a clip that lasted, what? 5 seconds? Seriously!?!? I need more than that. Like, have her run into her dad and lose the chance to save him, or something. It would give her hope that gets torn down only to drive her further into wanting to stop Zarkon.
And Hunk not getting the love he deserved this season ticked me off to no bounds! Even Lance deserved some more love, too! I want backstories for the both of them! Like what if they were friends before the Garrison? Things like that. And I want to see Lance's rivalry/secret crush over Keith back in the Garrison and Hunk probably being the only one who knows (most likely won't happen, but a fan can dream).
Sorry for the rant. Needed to vent. XP

I didn't mean to say that she shouldn't have mended that rift but like the way she did it was all wrong. Like you said her suddenly apologizing was stupid. It felt forced. And I personally think it's because they never actually ADDRESSED the issues she had with it in the first place. Like there's no REAL reason for her to distrust Keith because he's a great person but all the same the emotions she felt were understandable because the last Galra who was part of Voltron went mad with power, committed the genocide of her entire race and enslaved the majority of the galaxy for thousands of years. She should have prejudices against them and they should have shown her actually acknowledging them as prejudices and overcoming them because that's how character growth works. For a character that's normally as real and believable as Allura the sudden 180 of her emotions made no sense and it lacked any genuine sincerity.
God right? THEY LITERALLY DIDN'T MENTION HER DAD AT ALL WTF??? ALSO WHY DID THEY MAKE HER HATE NATURE??? SHE SURE AF DIDN'T MIND WHEN SHE AND SHIRO WENT TO GO FIND THE GREEN LION! I hate the trope of making smart people hate the outdoors and she's literally the guardian of the forest that was so unnecessary. I did love her working to learn Altean. Give me galactic ambassador Pidge or give me death (they still haven't addressed why all the aliens speak English tho).
I WANT TO SEE THEIR FAMILIES MAN I WANT TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON WITH THEM AND WHAT THE GARRISON TOLD THEM ABOUT THEIR DISAPPEARANCE. I WANT TO KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT THEM AND THYE REFUSE TO GIVE IT TO ME

AMBASSADOR PIDGE WOULD BE FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And with the whole language thing, it's probably like Doctor Who with the Tardis being able to translate any language (except the Doctor's native language). Like when Clara thought she was speaking English, but it was Russian to the soldiers. Maybe that's what the castle can do; that it translates all the alien languages except for Altean, so the group can speak any language now without knowing that they can do so.
I really wanna know Lance's backstory, tbh. I do feel that Hunk as had a gentler past than the others, which is why he's so laid back, so a backstory tying in with Lance would give reason to why he's always reluctant to do things. Such as Lance always dragging him out to do wild and crazy stuff. lol Would give a stronger reason as to why Hunk regretted sneaking out of the Garrison. XD
As for Allura...the 180 with her threw me off and right now I can't stand her. I just can't forgive her for what she did. It was unlike her since the Alteans are all about peace first and hatred second. They really took certain points of past episodes and threw them out the 47 floor of an office building. Like "NOPE! We ain't having this shit!" I hate it when writers do that. Check your facts, people. Check. Your. Facts.
