TOAD BRIGADE! A band of exploring mushroom heads who serve only Princess Peach and the Mushroom Kingdom, travelling the stars to gather information and items for Mario to use. I figured, so many people have done Mario Galaxy art already, but not many people have done Toad Brigade art. Actually, they were some of my favorite side characters in the game, for their charm and humor! The most original and comedic portrayal of the toads probably since the Paper Mario series.

CHARACTERS, FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:
Mailtoad: He looks after Mario's letters from space. He's also a bit of a risk taker.

Braintoad: The smart one of the group, you can tell by the glasses. Out of all the toads, his information is the most helpful when you talk to him. He gets ornery when people don't agree with him.

Banktoad: A hard worker, and loves to build and fix things with his pickaxe. He can hold onto Mario's star bits in the sequel, getting a different accessory depending on how many you give him.

Snoozetoad: The slacker of the group, he is the most carefree of the Toads. Everyone seems rather annoyed with his constant spinning.

Captain Toad: The leader of the crew. He wears his trusty headlamp on his head while exploring the galaxies, and instructs the rest of the brigade on what to do when they're stuck in tight spots. He seems to be afraid of challenges, though his loyalty to Princess Peach encourages him to keep helping out. Rumor has it that this guy is actually the original Toad, the one who's always seen around Mario.

This is my first time using a space-themed background! I made it using the MyPaint program, and edited it with SAI. Also, I like how the Starshroom came out, and the emotion that the characters portray. What do you think?
