"I've travelled hundreds of lightyears from home, Voyager is my given name."

I drew this background a few years ago as a commission for my friend's album cover. I found it with a bunch of old art and decided to finally give it a proper space in my gallery with the rest of my recent art, since I never used it anywhere else and I had it stashed away in a folder without giving much thought to it at the time. I hope it can have a second life here, especially since I'm looking back at the stuff I've drawn already to inspire myself to keep practicing with different styles.

The basic idea of this image was to draw a cosmic horror, viewed from the interior window of a spaceship. I was inspired by classic science fiction and 70s psychedelia, along with a pretty good understanding of what makes for interesting background art. Everything in this image is drawn traditionally, including pencil sketches, shading and inking.
