Hey, sorry about the super late reply! I hope this is still relevant! >.<
1. I made my coat- I edited a Simplicity pattern (the Matrix coat) to have the wrap-style front (I closed mine with velcro and topstitched the handmade fimo clay buttons on)and the cut-out front. The fabric I used was a faux leather-type costume fabric that I got at my local Joann Fabrics on sale fabric store after Halloween. It has a subtle crocodile texture and you can find it pretty much at any fabric store.
2. My wig is made up of 3 pieces-- the base wig and 2 clip on ponytail extensions. The base wig was a medium length wig from Amphigory.com (I believe it was the Ada?) that I chopped off to a bob and styled the bangs with some got2bglued hairspray. I made the ponytail extensions- they're mounted on an alligator clip and I can clip them on and off my wig as I choose. If you want to make your own ponytails, there's tutorials online-- it saves money but it takes more time and experience. If not, you can find clip-on ponytail extensions at almost any wig shop online.
Good luck on your Maka!
