like the direction that Boom!Amy is going.I have always believed that if Amy did not have so much focus on Sonic, she would be a hero in her own right. Her personality in the current games show potential towards that, but most people know her for her obsession. With Boom!Amy at least not having that as her defining trait, it brings more focus on the rest of Amy that was there. As a writer, I can see quite plainly that Boom!Amy is what Amy can evolve to, still girly, but practical and a leader. It amuses me how people are already screaming that Amy in Boom is not Amy and is a Sally clone just because she’s not going to be a useless Sonic fan girl like she is pretty much everywhere else. In fact, she sounds like Amy from Sonic the Comic, which everyone agrees is the best version of Amy I don’t understand why people says Amy from Sonic Boom y a copy of Sally because now she is more focused in being a good leader, nobody said that about her at Sonic Heroes where she is leader of Team Rose

X3 I'm a bit torn about the direction but I'll certainly give it a shot (Most of her scenes so far have been absolutely fantastic so far!)
I think Amy can easily be a hero in her own right while still having a crush though, it was the main reason she started getting involved instead of being a damsel like she was in Sonic CD (Sonic Adventure she decided to gain Sonics respect, which got carried into SA2 when she freed him from jail... oh man I love her interactions so much!) I know a lot of people just see the obsessive aspect of her and that's fine, they're the same people that focus on Sonic being 'selfish and short tempered' (Which he is neither)
Well Sonic Boom is definitely going to be different because of the fact the developers/writers (I don't know who said it honestly lol) but the cartoon and game will be the first time the team will be fully together, as Sonic has been a full time loner up until this point (I think he is still good friends with Tails but not sure?? It's not very well explained) So Amy instantly having a crush instead of developing it properly like she did in the games would be really weird XD
She is definitely not a Sally clone XD (That is the funniest thing I have ever heard!) Her personality is just as you said though, she's basically Sonic The Comic Amy in personality which I'm definitely looking forward to! (as I grew up on Sonic Fleetway!) The leader thing is silly anyway XD Tails is also the Tactician (basically the brains) but no one is complaining about him taking anyone's place but you're totally right again! Amy Rose has totally showed leader potential many times in a lot of the games X3 She takes her own lead in SA1, SA2, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the hedgehog and even in Sonic 2006! It's just that the profile actually pointed it out instead of making people play the games haha

I hate when people are mean to Amy because of the way she acts towards sonic. I mean she’s a 12 year old girl, of course she’s gonna be loud, hyper, and be obsessed with some boy. Sonic is like her hero/crush, and If I was as close to my hero as she is I wouldn’t be able to contain myself either. Also as she grows up (( if sega ever changes her age)) she’ll probably stop fangirl over sonic.

I find it quite easy myself!
Main things I guess:
Lines and colours and highlights go on seperate layers
The lineart is done with a vector layer with the curve tool (very handy wonderful tool)
The shading is just done with air brushing
It's confusing sorry lol

What size for the pen tool and air brush ?

Pen tool at 20 (for the highlights) and curve tool at 5 for the lines and I vary on the airbrush but usually go for large sizes X3 something like 160 to 200 but can go as little as 50 for smaller areas

I agree! I think her other look has a more playful thing to it while this one does look quite serious and older in some sense X3 I totally agree about looking stronger though!
