haha recently my tea bowls have been purchased to be apart of a tea ceremony at a museum. they can be used in any aspect. even to hold coins

Wow, that is beautiful! I commend your patience! What glaze did you use? Whenever I tried using clear glaze over my stain or fired engobe details, they always ran and smeared

first I bisque the cup to cone 6 to make it vitreous.. I use powered stains 50/50 with gersley borate and a little bit of water and amaco semi-moist underglazes its almost like watercolor. Then i do the painting on the cup and refire it to cone 06-04 then i put a commercial clear on the outside and a low fire glaze on the inside and fire it to cone 1.

I have to admit, I love these purely because I could never find the patients myself to put that much detail on a little cup. Beautiful!

thank you so much They take about 10-14 hours each and pretty much become a part of me when you hold such a thing for so long and study its every curve.
