I'm so glad that my finals ended! They were not the best, though, but I can finally get back to drawing and painting
Meanwhile, I got Faber-castell Polychromos pencils from my dearest boyfriend (*so happy*). I wanted to see how good they are for realistic things so I drew this wolf as a trial. I'm not so proud to say that I just redrew the photography but well and don't even think about removing the watermark Reference: www.flickr.com/photos/carinamc…

Superb!!!! I've been looking at getting Poly's myself... but I just know I wouldnt even be able to use them to their capability anyway but still incredible stuff!! I love your fur.. you did amazing. Really loving the eyes too.
Also nothing bad about drawing what you see only... I do that more than anything else. I'm not very creative lol Not in that way anyway... Remember that art is defined by the artist not what they use to create it. What a great way to start things off with your Polys!!

In that time I bought myself Prismacolor Premiers! But I really wanted Polys but couldn't pass up this like HALF price deal on the Prismas for a 48 tin. That tin normally cost me $100 or so, but I paid $55 ($15 of that was postage though so it was only $40 for the pencils)
I haven't used them too much yet though.. I know the polys may have been better but you can't pass up the pricing!

Dude, referring to photography is that bad! I wish I could do it with that much accuracy every time! I love this wolf so much! Nice spots of blue, they add a pop of well placed color.
