Description
It's a long time ago, that I invested so rediculously much time into a single picture as I did here. I have no idea how much exactly, but it took me at least a month. It was supposed to be simpler, but since the sketch turned out very lovely, I decided to go full nuts on it. I think it paid off, even though my motivation was slowly dying, getting closer to the end. Can't work on a picture forever........
It's the character of with the name Niti.

Ooooh, she looks so sexy and cute as she relaxes among the mountainous splendor.

Always a pleasure to see your work, and especially here for obvious reasons :b
... that's the whole reply, everyone go home, we're done here :U
... Just kidding. Well the interpretation of Niti here has to be one of my personal favorites ever, I'll preface by saying. It actually makes me want to try and make my style less toony sometimes so I can try and replicate this beauty, but I don't know how that would actually work out. Her proportions really feel so spot on, more accurate than I even seem to get it. My bodies are so leg-oriented that the upper body suffers. The hair has got to be the best part of this though, especially with how the light hits it, it has a very strong bloom to it. The background is quite good as well, and fits the theme well. The scarf's placement seems a bit... intentional as well, like you know she put it there for a reason. :b It amuses me a bit. Also the tail is (redacted because this really doesn't need to be gone over for the 1.6 millionth time)
I probably will have more to add when you respond. :3

***going home***
***coming back just now***
Really, you like this visualization of her that much? That is good, thinking about the time invested. But well, I very much had similar feelings when the sketch was done, which is why I actively decided to work it out the best way I can, instead of going quick on it. That helped me with getting the face and hair just right, even though I always think something can look better, I am VERY satisfied with face and hair. For whatever reason, I often struggle to get these 2 elements just right, but here the mojo was simply there. But also, quite some work was going into the hair before reaching the final state, several times erasing and re-drawing parts of the shading and light effects.
Leg-oriented bodies are nothing bad. Legs are important, they can have wonderful breasts, but when the legs suck, the motive sucks. A toon style is a matter of taste, but your style with evolve further as collecting experience anyway, it will more or less automatically work in a direction you desire. Take your work now, compared to 3 years back. And try to imagine what you will do in 3 years. Good times coming.
The background took some time as well, especially of course the tree. Every leaf was hand drawn, though I needed to use reference photos, because I suck hard at natural elements. But it paid off.
I had kind of a hard time with the scarf, is harder to draw than expected....... And it does need to be placed for a reason, because if she had one there randomly, it surely wouldn't cover all the delicate parts as needed. :b But it could be realistic anyway, if you think about the situation - maybe she wants to lounge there next to that big window but not going for the risk to be seen with bisual bits by some stranger. You know, as men would put themselfes somewhere with simply a towl placed on their crotch.
But................... tail T____T.......................... I'm glad the tail worked out nicely, because I can even fuck up that, as I did in some images (you don't know them, if I can't get a tail in a picture right, I usually simply scrap it). Kinda touch to place it though in such a pose, because I don't know if it actually could be hurtful to have it go forward below you instead of behind you...... Well, fox people would have a tough life with our things anyway. =3 You remember the biker picture I told you about? I still plan to do it at some point, there some systems need to be mounted to the tail of the bike for keeping the lady's tails in place so that they don't end up in the wheel. Constructions for 2 people with tails on one bike would be very complex I believe, but also possible me thinks.

*leaves and comes back at the same time you do*
It was worth absolutely every moment dood because I'm absolutely in love :3 And I was so overjoyed when you told me how you felt when finishing the sketch that I was chomping at the bit wanting to see it. As for the face and hair? Definitely paid off, absolute natural. That angle would be an absolute bitch to work on for me, and seeing you pull it off is rather lovely.
Legs are important. I'd rather look at them than breasts anyway. And too-long legs like mine is nothing of a problem compared to the travesty that is too-short legs. I have a friend who I cannot take the art of seriously because his legs have been shorter than the upper body for like four freaking years now and I've long given up trying to advise him because he always uses the canned response "people draw in different styles". That's not a fucking excuse for a style DEFICIENCY, bodies do not work like that unless you are a damn garden gnome. Unless you're trying to go for that look, which you aren't, then it's something to improve on... anyway rant aside, it will be interesting to see my characters start looking like this in three years :b :Β thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/illustβ¦
Aha, you make an excellent argument on the scarf. But I have a better one! :U Towel! Covers better and allows more movement without it all falling apart! *throws one at you*
Tail is tail, and tail is life. I don't go as far as you do if I fuck up the tail, moreso I just reconstruct it digitally with self-redlining. And yes I remember the bike pic. Sorta, at least. Most of the minor details escape me. But dude, you think about this shit more than me and I'm the one trying to make a comic where this shit is normal, why am I not trying to one up you on this thinking shit D:

Indeed, as someone going for nude, fuzzy elegance I am very satisfied with the result. I still don't like it spending so long on such a project, but at least it was not wasted.
Yes, legs are always a joy. A fine to be shown naked always, compared to breasts. Breasts always get that sexual thing, but a girl walking the streets with somewhat short pants and showing nice legs, always a good thing without it being sexual (even it might also draw attention from horny dipshits, but even girls in a freaking winter coat would attract those motherfuckers.
Longer legs on women are for sure better than shorter ones. Short legs seem........ weird. Of course if you are going overboard with long legs, it doesn't look good either, but short ones are simply shit. It's really weird that your buddy seemingly wants to stay at that status, but I've got to say, he's right. Doesn't matter how many other people say it's wrong what he does, for him as the artist, it is only important how he wants to have it. I would probably not like his pictures either, but he shall be fine drawing whatever he likes.
Sure a towel would have been a thing. But I had to find out, that at this amount of folding, it's very hard to satisfyingly get it drawn. It would be basically the same story as the scarf I drew, only wider, so more folds to draw. I believe I would have failed there, and with my decreased motivation, this is all I could get done. Having a towel drawn in a pose with less extreme folding is something I can do, but this here is a different story.
It also rearely happens to me that I fuck up the tail, but every now and then I cannot get it right in a sketch, while really re-sketching it several times. Depends on my mojo I guess, it seems like my skills are sometimes varying - having had a good status in this picture here gladly.
Thinking about what interests me is one of my valuable assets. I have a very logic mind, so thinking about logic based things is really my field. I have possible more thought about all the details of the world of my story than I have thought the story itself - even though I admit, I suck at creating stories to details. But anyway, if you ever wanna discuss such things for something you do, feel free to get to me.

I uh.... Wow she is stunning!?!? o.o
I can tell you put alot of work into polishing this lady! Quite a shame this wears down your motivation a bit, quality is almost always better than quality when it comes to art... But be weary it Dosent drain you! >_<

I was talking about the motivation only for this motive, doesn't mean anything for the future. I simply don't want to do anything more on this picture, because so much was already done.
And quality is always better than quality? I'm not so sure, sometimes quality is better than quality.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β *mocking* =3
