Please tell me what you honestly think (my graphic novel is at stake LOL!). Even if your thoughts are "scrap it and re-draw". I want to know what I'm doing wrong as well as doing right (hope I didn't ask for too much )

Hey Q,

Sorry for the late replies here....I have been away from my comp, and only got bakc a couple o days ago.

As far as your pages go, I had a look over them, and I noticed you had some pretty good feedback already on your pages, as well as taking some of that advice into hand as you progressed. this is very good, and its great to see soeone takig constructive critisism onboard and using it to improove.

When drawing comic pages, rememeber that you are telling a story through a sequence of images. Your job is to tell this story in the clearest way possible. Think about your layouts carefully and take care with the natural path which your eyes take to go from one panel to another. Make the pages interesting by guiding your viewer through the page from left to right and top to bottom.

Another quick little bit of advice I would give is to have a look at some good photography as well as some good movies for ideas on how to compose your panels. Make your camera angles interesting. Good camera angles and composition will add to your storyteling.

Hope some of this advice is helpfull and makes sense. Its pretty general info, but if you think about it and try to apply these basics to your pages, it will help. Basically try and learn the easy stuff first and get good at that.

Again, sorry for the briefness of my reply, but I hope its somewhat helpfull

PS: I'm gonna post afew of my sequential examples over the next few days, so feel free to crit them or check em out too if you want....believe me when I say they are far rom perfect themselves, and I'm still trying to learn all this stuff myself.

I did not do the colours on this piece. They were done by Darrin Moore. Someone I often collab with on art. We should have something new which we did together up this week hopefully.
