Hey Guys!Has been a long ass time since I posted some new art, and hopefully I will be able to post up a few new drawings regularly for the next little while.
This piece is one I did for Darkhorse comics recently. It was published in their 20th Anniversary book, in which they got different creators to draw different characters to those which they originally did for the company. For example, I was asked to draw THE MASK, whereas Doug Mahnke drew Monkeyman and O'brien, Art Adams drew Ghost and Mark Nelson drew Go Boy 7!
That comic came out yesterday, so keep an eye out for it at your local shop. It's 25c, which I think is a bargain
Theres plenty of other pin-up art in there too.On the art side of things, this was a fun one off piece. The trouble with doing a one off gig like this is that you want to fit as much as you can into the one drawing, and things can get confusing. I'm not sure I did the character justice, but there are certainly plenty of 'easter eggs' in there for any true fans of "The Mask Strikes Back" comic series. I had fun with it anyway, and it was a good chance to make some art with a colourist I really dig, Edgar Delgado.

Yeah...it's pretty cool if your into darkhorses characters and some of the creators. i feel really lucky to be a part of it actually with such big names involved. Its definately worth checking out. Frank Miller draws Usagi Yojimbo!

Great coloring and attention to detail, found myself looking at the picture for a while noticing all the small things.

Cool. I do like to hear the reaction that people have to something like this. Sometimes i feel like I go a little overboard with the detail, but if I managed to capture someones attention for longer than a glance, that makes it all worth the effort
So did you find the Hellboy head? (it's not hard to see)

Well...it wasn't totally necessary, but it was all in the name of fun! (and crazy, psycopathic, mischeivous behaviour, which the mask is known to cause)

yeah....I guess i wasnt so much going for pure evil rather than just a chaotic mess. I made the bunnies real cute and cartoony so it didnt look like he was killing real rabbits....just crazy cartoony ones....like there was a pile of old playboy mags in the alley and the bunnies came to life off the covers....he then started to smack them around with his guitar.... Now that is in the spirit of the Mask, no?

hmmmmm....thats a shame. it's not really a comic, rather it is a pin-up book. This drawing here was my only contribution to it, but it is worth checking out. The comic itself is only 25c, so if you paid someone to ship it to you, it would be pretty cheap.

Hey. not sure if Darkhorse are doing Aeon Flux. All I know about that is that it was an MTV animated series. It does sound like something darkhorse would put out though.
I'm not really big in the art business either....trying to do something about it though
