Was gonna use this for my website, but since the design of it is gonna be a lot less... cluttered, I decided to use it for the upcoming Satellite Soda Artbook for which several forum members are contributing artwork[link]
I really dislike coloring lately and even though I like how this pic turned out, I doubt Im gonna be coloring this detailed any time soon. Im probably gonna try out other ways of coloring, like cellshaded or something, which probably fits my lines better anyway. Or not. Maybe Im just gonna quit coloring my stuff all together, we'll see.

you could still retain detail in a more simple manner of digital painting. detailed brush strokes and whatnot

I think you'd do magic without lines. because really, everyone is yappin about "check reallife for colors dood" and other referens, but real life doesn't have shit for lines!
you should try it though, I think if/once you get that right it'd work swell with you.
since most times I can see how coloring is a bitch to you, considering that Lines are a hard thing to get to work with lines sometimes. but if you compare to lineless colored work there's something that klicks in an entirely different way for the eye.
