Saw these two people in the train today, a man and his daughter, asleep, I had to draw em and when I came home, I tightend it up. I'm going to use it for school, we're working on an exposition about immigration and how it feels to leave your country and move into a new one. I felt that these people were a perfect image of two people lost in travel, alone, clinging on to each other while they travel through foreign countries in search of a better place.Related content

Erg mooi uitgewerkt alleen de kleuren vindt ik zelf een beetje minder.
Het grijs en licht blauw gaat niet echt goed samen denk ik.

i like it! the theme is good, though the light blue i dont like as much, its too bright. Plus does that colour convey the feelings? or was taht acctually her clothes colour?

Her dress was blue actually yea, but it felt right to use it in this pic. It gave me a feeling of her innocence and fragilty, plus it highlights the girl and the way her father is protecting her. I don't know if any bright color would do that, but this felt right.

The gray kinda scares me.. I can tell you were really facinated by them when you drawed them. It's really too bad they will never know that they inspired you.

Yea... it was kinda weird drawing em while they were asleep, but I couldn't resist, the image was just too damn cool. I used gray to 'highlight' the couple, cause they're what's important in this pic.
