Description
There's been a lot of controversy surrounding the upcoming Pokémon Sword/Shield--much of it justified, to be frank--but one shining beacon in the game is the new Water-type Gym Leader Nessa. So here she is, putting her foot down on a bunch of Bug-type humans. Think of it as her silencing the critics, as well as those individuals who jumped on that silly "white Nessa" bandwagon.I'm aware that, as a Normal-type move, Stomp can't ever be super effective. However, it does deal double damage to foes who have used Minimize, so technically, it is a super effective attack in that circumstance.

Her shoes are so cool looking. Also pratical because they're made to get wet. Love how small the micros are. I'm only hyped for the games just for the new girls.

Yeah, they're definitely shoes made for a Water-type specialist. I still would get rid of the inner tubes, though. lol

Lol it makes me think if she was swimming her feet would just keep floating. Not practical

Yep. Best to just take them off in that case.

NANI!?
SJW's had to go over this as well...this is the first time hearing about this and I find it ridiculous. god forbids she winks at the player while throwing out her pokeball though.
Regardless, awesome comm! reminds me of pogojo's stuff, and the game looks hyped.

Yeah, from what I know, a Japanese artist drew her with slightly lighter skin than she has ingame/in the official art, but some people threw a fit over it. The "anti-SJWs", so to speak, then took notice of this and started drawing her with actual white skin to rock the boat even further. It's just a silly incident all around.
As for Sword/Shield, the game as it is now has too many issues, to the point that I'm back on the fence after I had been convinced to jump in after the early-June Pokemon Direct, so I'm in wait-and-see mode again. I think the game still needs a TON more polish, especially since we're now losing access to a ton of older Pokemon (who are flatout not being programmed into the game), but I don't know how much they can accomplish in the next few months before the game launches.
In any case, I'm glad you liked it.

That's what happens when you've been a fan of the franchise for literally 2/3's of your life.

This would be better if she was barefoot, because those shoes are just so ugly

The only thing I dislike about them is the little float tubes. I don't know why the designers felt the need to add those.

Maybe she can walk over water with those
Really awesome art!
Angle and coloring are so neat. Makes me want to climb her

Well, even if she could, her feet would still get wet, but as a Water-type specialist, she should be used to it.
Glad you liked it. Just be careful about the climb; she may not appreciate that.
