I gotta agree with Fitz. The content is great, but the style of the comic clashes with it. Of course, you don't have to change the STYLE or anything.
What tools in photoshop are you using that these are taking you 14 hours to make each? Are you using layers for coloring at least?

Yes, everything is layered. Starting with the line-darkening, which I might as well progress to solid retracing while I'm at it. That's the most tedious part. From there I keep a separate pallet and have a different layer for clothing, skin tone, eyes, background... I just started doing the same with the shading in more recent panels. I'm probably shooting myself in the foot sketching so small to begin with. I'm not real happy with the resolution.

I understand that I am the last person who can seriously critique your comics considering the subject matter of my own, but I feel that my opinion might help a bit.
You're artwork is soft by nature, and it has a nice appeal because of it. However, the sharp text and word bubbles really clash with it. This is not a nice contrast. It might look better if the text was toned downed?
The subject matter, is, however, perfect, it is most entertaining.

Well thank you! ^_^ I hadn't really thought about the word bubbles being in too stark of a contrast to the artwork. I'll play with the colors a bit and see if I can tone things down.
