What are Kanon and Air about? I just started watching Kanon (I'm up to ep 2), I've never watched Air, and Clannad is one of my favourite animes. But, what is the main plot of Kanon and Air?

Kanon is about this boy who goes to live with his aunt in a town that he hadn't lived in for 7 years, and he had forgotten a lot of the things he did and the people he met in his aunts town. Basically the anime is about what happened to his childhood friends in those 7 years and him remembering who they were. It's very touching and gets very sad in parts and also very funny just like clannad is and I absolutely loved it! Air is about this guy who travels around looking for this winged girl that he heard about in a childhood story. He meets these three girls in this town he stops in who have mysterious pasts and they are all connected to this story, especially one girl, misuzu. This one is also very good and has some parallels to kanon, but also gets very sad and touching. I think if you liked clannad you will definitly like kanon and air! another one to check out is angel beats, which was also made by the same people who made canon clannad and air, but it is sort of different but also amazing. I hope you enjoy kanon and air!

I have a question, and i know it's going to sound extremely stupid, but i'm going to ask anyway.
Do these shows connect at all??? It's been bothering me, and I feel horribly stupid for asing/not knowing, but yea.
