Description

In New York City, the superhero known as Power Girl, real name: Kara Kent, was on patrol. Flying above the city, Power Girl noticed a disturbance in Times Square, where a large, intimidating man was destroying public property and attacking other civilians. The police responded to the situation first and tried to talk the man, identified as “Randall Mikavic”, down, but Randall stole the gun from the officer’s holster and shot at him. Thankfully, Power Girl was fast enough to catch the bullet from midair and save the officer. She took the gun from Randall’s hand, but, in response, he grabbed PG by the arm and tossed her into a Times Square billboard, shattering it! The other officers began firing on Randall, but he shrugged off the rounds like they were nothing. Power Girl saw Randall shrug off the gunfire, and she went in to fight him. Somehow, Randall was as tough and strong as she is. She used her x-ray vision on him, and saw that he’s almost entirely mechanical, except for his brain. She ended up tossing him into a gas tanker that exploded on impact. But then he emerged, now changed into a more titanic form with mechanical armor extruding from himself. He says he is now “Crash”, a Cybernetic Re-Adaptive Simulant Humanoid, and that he’s here to kill Power Girl for The Society. Power Girl and Crash fought to a standstill, both fighters not giving an inch. Then, Crash fired lasers from his hand that managed to weaken PG. The lasers are actually particle beams that utilize the element Krypton, the main weakness of Ilnolman people like Power Girl and her cousin Superman. With Power Girl weakened, Crash was about to deliver the killing blow when fellow heroes Booster Gold and Blue Beetle arrived to help PG. The two heroes distracted Crash from killing Power Girl, and she managed to regain enough of her strength to smash Crash beneath a truck and some upturned road pavement. With Crash defeated and disabled, he was taken away by the NYPD. Blue Beetle and Booster Gold talked to Power Girl about The Society’s attack on the Justice League that infected Superman and the other Leaguers with a killer virus. Power Girl was shocked, and the other two heroes told her that they got confirmation from The Titans that they have recruited someone who know where the Society is located. But first, they’ll need help…
