daylook for elsyanskies' fashion design contest.dress:
-white and dark brownish grey wool
-black diagonal stripes that is actually a ribbon going down the seam
-red and orange thin lines that form a pattern, sewn on thread
-belt is actually a ribbon sewn onto the dress. it is visible in the front and then in the back is tied up to form a little bow
-opening on back
-lace detail on the hem
-skirt is gathered (you can see where on the illustration)
jacket or cardi:
-knit
-very very bulky yarn, which is not really a yarn

-light gray with tiny variation in shade
-four white buttons
red cotton scarf or whatever you call that
white pantyhose

I love your illustration style. Very cool design. The orange detailing is my favourite part.
The only part I'm not sure about is the grey "belt" section on the blouse. I like the concept but something is off for me.
The back is so fun. I love how flirty it makes the design.

i wan't sure about it either. i draw it in the original sketch, then erased it in my first coloring of the dress. now i added again cause i felt like something was missing without it.
maybe you're right, it would probably be best to keep the front clean and then the back with interesting details.
are we even allowed to change it?

I do think that ribbon makes sense... just on a personal taste side of things it's not my favourite aspect of the design. I am just one person though. I am glad that you are always open to critique and really consider what is said. It makes it really enjoyable to give you feedback... that being said I'm off to take a look at your second look!

I like what you did. It's a great design and I love the orange stripes and the black stripes/ribbon-thingy. The opening at the back is a creative touch and that jacket is just awesome
