Description
An old piece (I guess from last year sometime since I signed it 2012) that I touched up a little. I couldn't do too much to it, this one was obviously pre-color practice stuff but I really liked the idea. It's the its the older ed's doing what they do best with a small shift in the power dynamics. Double D get tired of being the weakling and decides he won't be a victim anymore. Although this is the real world and they aren't kids playing for quarters anymore. I imagine him as some sort of crime lord (he accomplishes this at a young age thanks to his intellect) and Ed n Eddy are the muscle. Growing up watching DD rise to power has made Eddy compromise some of his morals (yes he has those) but DD is his best friend and he is more than willing to set them aside to protect him. This would turn Eddy into the brooding silent type hmmmm. Edd relies on Eddy's insight and trusts him as the last person he can truly rely on, besides Ed of course. or something along those lines I'm trying to remember exactly what I was thinking when I did it in the first place
