this was originally done bythe two people pictured are kalgara (or kargara depends on how you spell it) (standing) and norland (kneeling). their story is very complicated to explain now... so i won't
i asked if i could try to color some of kalei's stuff (bet no one thought i would start with this one). this was a phenominal piece of art and i just hope i did it justice with the coloring. i didn't have the best reference materials for some of the colors so i tried to make due. i feel the hardest part was the jungle/forest scene, those trees moked me ever so... hope you enjoy though

The colours really bring out the details of the picture. It's kind of a shame though, that there's not more shading :/
I can see you tried shading with the backgrounds, but the characters themselves seem a little... incomplete.. without the textures and shadows more refined. I can understand wanting to work with the AWESOME KICKASS PHENOMINAL linework's hatching, but it just looks a little off without more definition.

yes the characters are a little incomplete. i left them as they were because of the way they were lined, i felt that the lines would provide the appropriate shadows and shading. i also left the background simple but when i was finished i attempted to add shadows to make it seem alittle more realistic... looking back i should have tried doing that for the characters as well. i might try and add shadows later, but for now this piece took alot out of me and i'm taking a break from coloring for a bit.
