for what it's worth...there's always some odd/weird sense of validation when someone who is important wants their photo taken in front of your artwork.
let's be honest...the show would not survive without him. so when he takes the time to say 'that's cool. i want a photo of myself in front of that.', it makes you feel good.
so, the mural i did for the hospital for episode #515 is that piece of artwork. and i'm probably gonna make a magnet for the fridge or a small picture to put somewhere in my house of this.
60 hours a week of working and for what it's worth...this photo makes it all worth while.
*note: actual photo was taken by a union studio photographer and not taken by myself. the mural was my work. this deviation is for display purposes only of my actual work and how it looks on set.

It felt damn good...
The funny thing about working in film is that everyone sees your work and compliments all the time (even when it sucks) so it was very cool for David to stop and say he wanted a picture of himself in front of it. It made me fell very good.
Btw, I read your journal about the Uni Backlot and do you live in the LA area? I was at a meeting near the Universal lot and watched the plume of smoke go thousands of feet up into the air. You should have seen how many news choppers were flying around. I wish I had my camera on me.

It's weird because I'm seeking out animation work and the thing with animation is, it can always be better, so there's always critique for it, hehe.
I'm going to be heading to LA once I graduate but I was down in the area visiting people a few months ago and I snagged myself a season pass to the park (as I plan to totally spend a lot of free time making myself dizzy on the Mummy coaster).
I would have been absolutely heartbroken to see the fire in person because I love the old school Hollywood feel of Universal so much. I can't even begin to imagine how many copters there were! CNN had some live feed online and I was watching the numerous videos coming in from multiple copters. Airspace must have been an absolute mess for that area.

Good luck on the animation. Disney, Cartoon Network, and Nickleodeon are all within a few miles of each other.

send portfolios too or use your devART account as your portfolio. don't overlook PA opportunities either. That's how I started and just worked my way up from there. Besides, you're working for people you would want to work with anyways.

Omg i love this, he's the shit seriously. He makes me laugh so hard when he like POSES though it's so great. Plus he's very passionate when he's acting, it makes the show so much better.

Man I dunno if I love him or hate him. This is just such a typical picture of him. Yeagads... He reeks of total self-obsession.
Your mural rocks. I can't imagine how back breaking that must have been. It's not like you can turn the paper around to get a better angle in order to get your proportions right. Nah, you have to stick it out as is and get it right at that angle. AND it's vertical. I'd go nuts. Tried it on my friend's computer room wall for her and nearly died after only a short while. I commend your ability to stick to it. And damn the painting came out amazing. I love the colours. I could stare at it all day. There are a lot of murals in my city, thousands. Not many are as good as the one you have done here. In fact I can only think of 2 or 3 that could come close. You are very good at this. It makes me envy you. You rock!

Okay, I'm supressing my huge CSI: Miami fan-mania and just say what I really want to say:
This is one AWESOME piece of work on the mural!! Its just beautiful. I wish such murals were done in Athens too.
Also, its really cool that Caruso complimented on your work and wanted a picture of himself in front of it! Heck, anyone with a good sense of taste for art would! Myself included of course. ^^ Grats for both the great work, and the cool compliment from a celebrity!
