for what it's worth...there's always some odd/weird sense of validation when someone who is important wants their photo taken in front of your artwork.
let's be honest...the show would not survive without him. so when he takes the time to say 'that's cool. i want a photo of myself in front of that.', it makes you feel good.
so, the mural i did for the hospital for episode #515 is that piece of artwork. and i'm probably gonna make a magnet for the fridge or a small picture to put somewhere in my house of this.
60 hours a week of working and for what it's worth...this photo makes it all worth while.
*note: actual photo was taken by a union studio photographer and not taken by myself. the mural was my work. this deviation is for display purposes only of my actual work and how it looks on set.

I think C.S.I. is f*ing boring. Almost as boring as the closer. I saw bits of two episodes of the closer. I knew after watching about two minutes who the murder was. I didn't knew the motive or how he did it, but this show is so badly written and played that you can tell it form "how the story looks like". If it would be like columbo it would be ok. In columbo it's not about "who is the murder", it's about making fun of him/her.
And C.S.I., well, it's a bit better then the closer, but not much. The murders are often ridiculous and the murders/the characters/the show is inherently boring.

You are such a lucky guy! To be working on any of the CSI series' is amazing, but to get to meet the cast and get great shots like this is just the icing on the cake.

WOW! For the mural AND D.C. that's really amazing! It's way better than the "oh you're so talented" or "you did a good job". Actions really do speak louder than words, and for the long hours it's payed off obviously

great work, though i absolutely hate david caruso. i cant even watch that show anymore because of him. all he does is move from ''dramatic'' pose to ''dramatic'' pose, all the while delivering his lines in the most overacted way in the world. not to mention that he is apparently a freaking SUPER CSI who not only examines evidence, but gets into shootouts and arrests people. WTF?! the show would be so much better without him.
again though, great work.

i dont know, i just get so pissed off with his terrible acting. i even started a drinking game with some friends, to try and see if i could maybe enjoy the show at all, but we couldnt stop drinking! you were supposed to take a drink everytime he put his sunglasses on or took em off. then we tried everytime he shifts his pose from one side to the other, like he switches whether his left or right side was closest to the camera, or everytime he stops to strike a pose. then we thought maybe if you took a drink when he delivers one of his overdramatic, overacted lines that are pointless, but all these things happen WAY too much.
plus i mean c'mon, he is supposed to be a CSI. they dont go serving warrants, getting in shootouts, or other stupid things caruso does. its just so rediculous. if you watch the first season, and compare it to each season after, he gets worse and worse and worse. its rediculous. i wish they would kill him off, or he would leave the show-he just cant act.
ill stick to the original, properly done CSI las vegas.

I don't even watch any of the other CSIs. I find the overblown drama, cheesy lines, and bad acting hilarious. Emily Procter and Eva LaRue are pretty good reasons to watch as well. But if Caruso left, I'd lose interest.

the eye candy of those women just isnt enough for me to endue caruso's reign of terrible 'acting'. it pisses me off more than amuses me, cuz i always think 'why the hell do they actually PAY this idiot to act like that? why the hell dont the writers write a proper damn script for once? why the hell does anyone watch this show?!'
maybe one day he'll lose his sunglasses and have a heart attack-that way someone who knows how to act can take his place.

it quite amusing really... me and my husband are huge CSI fans, but whilst I am not a huge fan of Miami for the same reason as you, he loves it best for the exact same reasons

yea, it does seem CSI miami is a love it or hate it thing. i personally dont understand how anyone could love it and actually like watching caruso ''act'' for more than 3 seconds.
sometimes i watch new york, but sinese is a little caruso-esque at times. i think new york is a sort of in between for vegas and miami. he does some SUPER CSI things that a CSI wouldnt normally ever do, but still finds his way in the lab, with some shitty "dramatic" one liners to boot.
im all vegas though. grissom is the man-now HE is someone the show just doesnt work without. when they replaced him for a few episodes while he was doing a play INR, i had a hard time watching it because it just wasnt the same, kinda boring. im just glad he actually plays a realistic CSI, unlike the other two leads [in ny and miami]. plus, he is the only lead CSI in the 3 shows that actually uses his brain!
no, i didnt post the drinking game anywhere. my guess is others saw what i saw in the show, and thought itd make great drinking game material. we started with shots, and some people were getting sick before the first or second commercial.

yea, there is much more complexity in vegas, and less so in new york, and nearly none in miami. i really do think new york is a halfway marker between the realistic vegas and the ridiculous miami.
in vegas, you can identify with the characters, and empathize with them. all the actors are actually GOOD, and none of them stick out against the others as having the show revolve around them. grissom does stand out as the 'main' character, being lead CSI, but as the seasons went on, all the CSI's have played equally important roles and took to the front, and they all did it in a believable way that didnt make you gag *cough*caruso*cough*.
miami is more about eyecandy, shootouts and knocking down doors than it is about the evidence and the characters themselves. the show is straightforward with nothing to think about except why the hell is a CSI doing all those things? actually, i should say its only about posing, overacting and a lack of talent due to caruso.
can ya tell i hate caruso? lol.
