This is for the 's Brothers Contest. So I drew the Elric Brothers! Hurrah! Because Ed and Al are the best brothers ever ever ever! Obviously, I have ZERO chance of winning, but I'm still entering. Actually, contests are good since they motivate me to actually draw, haha
The relationship I intended to illustrate was their determination and strength in each other. Because after all, Fullmetal Alchemist is about moving on in life and chasing our dreams, and not sitting there and crying...and about...Brotherhood (lol). I wanted to illustrate their determination, and the flames (which are crappy) symbolize the ones that burned down their house. THEY ARE FIGURATIVELY THERE, not actually. (Which is also a convenient excuse for my failure to colour with lighting...). Also, silhouettes are in the background of their allies and enemies, to say that even if they have a hard road ahead of them with many challenges, there were always people who stood behind their backs and supported and loved them. Virtual cookie to the person who gets them all!
