The scarecrow was bewildered. "Aren't you afraid of me?"
The haughty crow cocked his head. "Why? Should I be afraid?"
"If you're not afraid, then I have no purpose." The scarecrow sighed sadly.
Hearing this, the crow laughed. "So your sole purpose is to drive me away!? What a lonely, pointless purpose!" He said mockingly. "If I were you, I'd rather die."
The scarecrow was angry at being mocked. But before she could say anything, the crow suddenly offered her his hand. "Here." the crow said. "If you take my hand, I will show you a new purpose instead."
