well.....here is a step-by-step of my recent painting. i'm sorry I have not the mountains in steps because....I draw everything in one layer... :C But I have a recorded vid of the mountain painting progress of it here on my stream accountClick download to see it fully!

I feel like it doesn't need the two trees in the foreground, it suddenly cramps it up a ton and covers up some awesome mountains in the background!

the ones far away are done with tree brushes. the ones in the front hand painted. When hand painting I build up from trunk/branches to leaves and then snow.

I think this looks fantastic. Perhaps a small deer fowl or small critter wandering in the snow would have given it that extra touch instead of the tree. But the colours and the depth...ooo its so gorgeous. (:
