This Dragon, represents my mom. My mom isn't your typical mother. She's not at all motherly. I don't even see her as a mom. In my warped reality (that is .. in this series) She's this fierce fire-breathing dragon that could soar and ... well..very strong.
To me, my mom is all that, she's the most influential person I have ever met, she has changed people's lives without being under any charity. She just changes people because she knows what's best. She is my inspiration, she is what drove me to become a better graphic artist.
I love you Mom.

I wasn't to sure of drawing a dragon. I wasn't confident but hey, there's a first time for everything! But this took me a while to research what dragons really look like.

I LOVE this one...and not because it has a dragon in it...well maybe a little bit...but I also love it for it's symbolism. XD
I don't know how you did it, but this piece has just a really powerful and majestic feel to it. I love how the dragon is just standing tall and proud gazing out into the horizon. The fire around it looks as if a battle has just taken place and the dragon came out triumphant.
What I also love is how you've got it facing the light, the darkness left behind her where it should be. Even with it being so close to her she still stands tall and unafraid. Like she's willing to turn around and fight again if need be.
You're mom sounds like a really important person in your life, it's awesome that you have someone that has that much of an impact on you for you to depict her as such a majestic and beautiful creature. I admire my mother just the same as you do yours...only I envision her as a Majestic Tigress who would leap into danger to protect her cubs but also be able to look beautiful and raise her cubs with love and care even if she can be fierce and dangerous at times. Her love shines through.

Mothers.... No parents in general should be more appreciated in my point of view. Teenagers these days, they feel so embarrassed around they're mom and dads because they're around them all the time, and this and that... excuses.
But to me, (and I wouldn't know any teens story... I don't know they're back story as well so I don't know what they're going through.) But my family has went through a LOT and to tell you the truth They went a lot of struggles way before they had me.. I'm witnessing like 16 years worth.. and counting (who knows.) So I appreciate my mom like this because she was there with me. All those years of pain and suffering... she's the strongest person I know. and I'm proud to be her son. I still hug her everytime and I just realized I never hated my mom like any other teenager did. Which is great.. I love my parents!

I know, in High School all I heard was how my friends/other students couldn't stand their parents. How they were embarrassed by them. When I was in Middle School my mother brought me a lunch from my favorite restaurant. I was so excited that she came, I loved seeing her and talking to her. She's like my best friend. When she left my friends asked me if I was embarrassed that she came, I just shook my head with a smile. I love my mother and father when they would come see me at school I'd practically run to hug them.
I admire my parents more then anyone else in the world. They've been through so much pain in their lives and yet they turned out to be great people. Both of them are my hero's. It sounds silly typing it, but whenever we had to write about who our hero was I'd always write about my mother/father. Every single time, I didn't even have to think about it. They are always standing behind me and pushing me forward and I'd do anything for them.
The fact that you drew your mother as a dragon really symbolizes how you see her. A strong majestic being who can't even be brought down by gravity. No matter what the situation she always comes out stronger and better not only for herself but for you as well. I don't know your mother, but this piece really makes me respect and admire her for as much as you admire and respect her.
I love my parents as well. XDDD
