Description
Just an idea to make a 'sort off' HD version off the first Metroid game. Pixel art completely done in MS Paint with a little retouch with photoshop afterwards

I've never seen such a great job done on a level before, especially the opening!
I haven't tried most other Metroid games, so I don't know if this design shows up again OR if you actually made up the setting yourself! (the capsules, idols, Chozo)

This was based on the original 8-bit metroid, everything that has been added (such as the capsules n chozo n stuff) was originally done by me. Thank you ^^

When you understand the basics of shading and the limits pixelart gives you and with the time to practice it shouldn't be too hard to make something like this

Frankly said, it would be horrible... You have to know why each pixel has his certain place, seems extremely hard to do this with a tablet.

It changes various colors in the first game. Her hair is, by default, brown, but that fact is easily forgotten.

I think that she dyes her hair because in the NES game, she has green hair (which I noticed lol) and a few other games, brown. The others has, blond. lol
But I think your right, her natural hair color is brown. ^^

No no, in the NES game, her default hair color is brown, but it turns yellow when using missiles; then she has the Varia, that default brown becomes green, but it turns greenish-yellow when using missiles. It's all a visual indication of her weapon-using status due to the NES's graphical limitations. This indication was not carried over to other games, and yellow became Samus's standard hair color (first in the old Valiant Nintendo comics, then Super Metroid).

I want that NES game...I'm trying to at least play all of the Metroid games and beat them. I didn't beat this one yet. But I beat all of the other Metroid games I played.
BUT the ones I didn't play is...Prime 2, Zero Mission, Return of Samus...lol. I just need to catch up on 4 more games! YUSH! (lol) I love the Metroid series
