"As she stormed out of the bramble tunnel, she heard fallen leaves rustling beside the camp wall. She turned her head and saw Blazefire and Lightleap. Scrambling to a halt, she stared at them. Their pelts were touching and their muzzles were so close they must be able to taste the prey on each other’s lips.
Lightleap saw her and stiffened.
Blazefire moved away.
At least they had the decency to look embarrassed. Sunbeam swallowed back a growl. Friends! It was obvious they were more than friends. Not only had they excluded her, but they’d lied to her too."
