Honestly I'm not sure what to make of this one... I've always been unimpressed by Gandalf's lack of spells, so on that front I think Voldemort is the superior wizard. But I don't think Voldy could just Avada Kadabra Gandalf, being that he has great defensive spells (as seen in the mines of moria). This one I think would be a toss up.Also I think the majority of horcruxes (I forgot how they worked, how many there were, or what they were specifically. I only saw the last 2 movies once because I thought they sucked) would have to be destroyed previously to the battle for Voldy to ever be in a legit battle because he could literally never die without destroying all of them.
I'm not sure if the Horcruxes increase Voldy's powers (I'm going to assume they don't) but that whole bit would have to be forgone.
Who do you think would win?

To get a better idea of Gandalf's other stuff, you should look at this link: www.quora.com/What-powers-doesβ¦
And even if Lord Voldemort ever somehow managed to land Avada Kedavra on Gandalf for any reason (which is extremely unlikely due to the hyper-sonic reaction-ratings that Gandalf is known to have), Gandalf will still be standing afterwords, and a lot of it has to do with the fact that while a Phoenix from the Harry Potter franchise while still mortal has the innate ability to "rebirth from the ashes" grants them semi-protection against Avada Kedavra, meaning that immortals on the other hand are granted "full protection" against the Killing Curse outright (and even then, Avada Kedavra will "bounce" off of anything that's non-living such as an Elvish Blade).
I'll also point out that even as Gandalf The Grey, he can shatter objects with just his voice alone as he doesn't have need to use his staff in order to do so (trust me on this, he would more then likely shatter Lord Voldemort's wand if given the chance, which will make Lord Voldemort even "much more vulnerable" then he already is).
Most importantly, Harry Potter characters haven't ever been seen taking on foes like the Belrog of Morgoth as well as beings that are at least the equivalent of if not greater then.

I had been thinking Gandalf v Darth Revan.Β
I agree that Gandalf v Voldemort is a contest and I'm not sure who would win. All three of them are extremely powerful beings but when it comes down to it they have a regular human's frailties. But also 99% of people who watched that video would be rooting for Gandalf while Revan is I believe a much loved character and more would offer something other than a wizard duel.Β
Revan: One of the most powerful force users of all time, can wield the greatest powers of the dark and light side (particularly an incredible capacity to heal himself and attacks such as lightning, grip and others), is an incredibly skilled fighter (particularly as a swordsman).
Gandalf: In truth a being named Olorin with godlike attributes in mortal form, can shoot lightning from his sword Glamdring, has strong defensive capabilities such as forming a protective shield around himself, shows himself to be a skilled swordsman.

If you're interested, Super Powered Beat Down did a very similar fight in the form of Darth Vader vs Gandalf
