As a recovered cutter I can assure people those are photoshopped healing cuts look much more gristly that little red lines. They get crusty, infected and will oftentimes ooze puss. It's not glamorous in the slightest. Frankly I find this shot a little offensive. It shows none of the realities that come with cutting only the glorified perception of it.
