How do you do the tears so well? and the background XD

the tears are 2 diff layers. first one it's on normal with white then fade it to where youd like it. second later above it is on overlay and with white again. and the back ground i use a water brush, i don't blend anything. it's just color over color

In my newest picture I tried the tear thing. [link] I thanked you in it <3 It doesn't look as good as yours but this is my first time doing it this way <3 I guess more practice and Itll get better
