So I take it you're usually prone to motion sickness?  Of course, "in universe", the combination of their artificial gravity and inertial dampeners should negate any sense of motion.  What one might experience would be the resonant vibration of different hardware systems.  Depending upon any audible pitch, the sensation might actually be soothing, like a "white noise" generator.  Or, there might some tones that are like nails scraped across a chalkboard!  Yeesh!  I doubt even their pleasing presence could distract me from that!

I suspect there were Caitians in StarFleet before M'Ress.

A bit more seriously, that does pose the question of "first contact".  Did humans reach the Caitian home world?  Did a Caitian ship reach Federation space?  Did the two encounter each other in neutral territory?  Were the Caitians already tooling around with warp drive before Cochrane developed his prototype?  So many potential scenarios.

Alas, I suspect it will be up to the more polished fan productions to present M'Ress or another Caitian halfway resembling the original Filmation concept art.  For example, were you aware that for "Into Darkness", the two ladies with tails having a romp in Kirk's bed were intended to be Caitians?!  A short "behind the scenes" article claimed production notes listed the two humanoids as such.  But other than CG inserted tufted tails, there was nothing remotely feline about them, no "fur", no cat-like eyes, not even vaguely pointed ears.  Shoot, one of the twins mentioned the makeup team applying scales to her face.  Scales?!  What's felinoid about scales?  Thankfully, since they were not identified as Caitians on screen, it's easy to ignore the "intent".  I wonder if Neville Page, one of the judges for SyFy's "Face Off" makeup competition series, was involved with that particular "sub" project?  He's listed as the "lead creature designer" for the second Abrams film.  If he thinks a cat-person should have "scales", how can I trust his rulings as a judge?

Thanks, Mapper!  I was trying to recreate the lighting scheme of Gerald Finnerman.  He was the person who gave TOS Trek the distinctively "theatrical" pastel hues during the first season.

I think it's equally applicable here.  I doubt the "official" movies will ever bother presenting an "authentic" M'Ress.  It will probably be left to the upscale fan films.
