Thoughts about the Character:
I thought Jedaiah would have been born and raised as the leader granddaughter of a very traditional and lawful town, they weren't part of any specific kingdom and followed no king, but they had a very strict code full of laws an to break those would mean the exile, which was the worst punishment ever to anyone from the town. For all her life, Jedaiah had followed all the rules to it's fullest! And one of those was to always cover your face, no matter if man or woman, it would be a disgrace for an individual to have anyone but their loved one see their face (nope, neither children could look at their parent's face) but there was once a very prideful and arrogant person, he was believed to have broke literally every law the town had, and so he was banished forever from the town. That man was Jedaiah's father and for a long time she hated him for all the shame she brought to her family, she left the town to look for him because she wanted to yell at his face and condemn him for everything that his exile influenced in her life, but, as she was searching for him, by name only because Jedaiah didn't want to say he was her father, she learned of all the great deeds he had accomplished, most of all, she found a whole group of people who were also exiled from her town, they explained to Jedaiah what really happened, that her father was actually a hero, yes, he broke every possible law and tradition the town had, but only because there was no way for him to help people otherwise! The town was so full of bureaucracy that if he was to wait for the counsel command the plague that had taken over almost half of town would have won them over and they would be dead by the time he had returned, instead, Jedaiah's father ignored the tradition, left the village to find a cure, came back and saved everyone, because of his attitude, he was banished from the town, and as a response, everyone whose life he saved said they would rather be exiled too, living proudly even if their face is shown for everyone to see.
Unfortunately, Jedaiah only found her father on his last month of life, she spent every minute of every day by his side, ashamed of how badly she had thought about him all her life, and when she finally got the courage to apologize, expecting to see him mad at her, he actually hugged her one last time and thanked her, from the bottom of his heart, that no matter the reason, he was able to see her again before parting to the other side.
After that, Jedaiah understood why her father did all that he did, and so started to choose better what tradition and what law is worth respecting and following, and as her father, she chose to live her life proudly, no mask at all, so all would see her determination, her passion and her honesty every time they look at her eyes.
