Description

Magma shuffled his way through the sand of the beach he had discovered. "Is is an empty beach?" he thought to himself before he came to a small but sturdy sand castle, sitting in the middle of the beach with no one around it. “Guess that answers my question.” he mumbled under his breath. Who was here, was his new question. Hopping around in the hot sand, Magma scanned the beach for any signs of movement. He hummed to himself as he explored the sandy area. He put his nose to the ground and sniffed, getting some sand up his nose. He sneezed, the sand tickling his nose, and laughed at himself. “That wasn't a great idea.” he said to himself. He sneezed once more before continuing. The ocean was quietly making small waves, and he looked out at it. The water started to pick up a bit and the waves reached his toes, causing him to jump back in caution. “Oh man, that was close!” he shouted. Being a fire type, water always made him jumpy, because it was super effective against him. Magma LOVED the beach, but the water also made him hate it. His eyes shone in the midday sun as he blinked, hoping it wasn't just a dream. “I could stay here forever.” he said to himself, but knew he should leave soon. He sat down, admiring the view a bit longer. He dug his paws into the sand and laughed as the sand tickled his feet. Under the first layer of hot sand, there was cold sand, not hit by the sun or its rays, which tickled Magma more than the hot sand. The sun shone down on Magma's back as he closed his eyes and sighed happily. He didn't relax like this often, but when he could, it was lovely to just be by himself.

After a while, Magma opened his eyes and yawned. The whole beach was dark and Magma scrambled to get up. He had fallen asleep! “Oh no...” he muttered. “I wasn't supposed to fall asleep here!” He shook his body to get the sand off and went to turn around when he saw the ocean once more. It was beautiful, the moon's reflection shining off of the ocean. He smiled at it, not wanting to leave, but he knew it was time. “I'll come back tomorrow and watch your waves again.” he said softly before turning and starting back the way he came. The sand was cooler than it was earlier this morning, and it felt good on his paws. He turned back once more to get one last look at the ocean until tomorrow. With a big smile and a nice, warm feeling in his heart, Magma started back to his home, his spirits lifted high.
