He needs an element IMO. Something that has been well deserved for 4 seasons and 2 movies. Just not entirely sure what...But the writers for FiM are geniuses. If that's the course of action they take, they'll make it work.

Oh...OHHHH! Wow how did I not notice that? I'm still firm on him being human, but yeah you do have a point, he does have an advantage of being a dog.
Also he is much shorter than all of them, so he is looking up at them quite often...giving him a bit of a view except for Rainbow Dash.
