I'm not really sure why you couldn't contact me about this, Ardesere. If you're going to contact the artist, and the person displaying the art, then you should've contacted me as well. Anyway, I am the person responsible for recreating the image (which has been removed to avoid drama). I never sold this work for legal tender, and I also provided links to this recreation of Toothless.

Redhead-K, I apologize if you feel that I've done something wrong. Toothless is owned by Dreamworks, so really no one can claim anything in his likeness to truly be their own. What I did was harmless in this aspect, and as I mentioned before I did link you. I should also mention that I don't have the image uploaded anywhere else.

I'm sorry for taking up any of your time.

Also I had just gotten home when I first replied so I had only skimmed the first bit before passing out. So Now that i'm actually awake and I've read the whole thing.
It is never okay to use someone's art work unless it specifically says you can.All artwork posted to Da has a copyright on it also This artwork has a watermark on it which you covered over by recoloring Toothless And it says no where that you can do such. Therefore it's art theft which is a crime. It doesn't matter if you sold it or not. Toothless may belong to Dreamworks but that doesn't mean any art of him is fair game to be colored over and used as commissioned or gift art to other people whom think it's 100% your art work or completely made for them.

"MY PROFILE PICTURE WAS MADE FOR ME DO NOT STEAL"So From the looks of it she had no idea that it was someone elses art that had been colored over either.

It's called "Fan Art" for a reason, but in any case I'm sorry. It's been removed. There was no personal gain intended/gained, and nothing was deprived from the original artist.

Just because it's fan art doesn't mean it's free to take and use as you wish.
