"Since coming to Queensland, Australia, I don't really get to see my family in America outside of the Holidays, especially my big sister Mariah. I won't deny it's made me feel very homesick the first couple of months here. I'm fortunate enough to have made friends here in Brisbane, though, and they've made me feel welcome. I still felt a rush of excitement in me when my sister told me this past Easter that she'd come down to visit me this summer, and just this past week, she actually came.

We had a great time together in the city! We spent the majority of the time browsing the shops and walking along the riverbank. Mariah was glad to feel more pleasant weather than the hot kind she deals with back home. That said, she did have the urge to bask in the sun at one of the beaches. I was just happy doing whatever we could think of doing, but walking alongside her by the bank was certainly one of my favorite moments, one I wished would last all summer.

I do feel sad that the whole week went by already and that she's returned home, but I was glad for the time while she was here."

UPDATE: I was not satisfied with Terry's sister's facial appearance, so I finally decided to change it today.
