Why exactly do people hate Sally?Is it because they think Amy's cuter than her?
Is it that shes the one dating Sonic?
If that's the reason then that's just stupid.
Sally is a brave and kind-hearted mobian.
Shes always been there for her friends and has served her country.
She even sacrificed her-self to save a whole damn planet,and some people hate her for it.
Theres nothing wrong with liking Sonic with Amy better.
But it doesn't mean Sally had to suffer from their hate.
And just because shes not wearing much clothing doesnt mean shes a whore or a bitch.
Sally and Amy are both beautiful and amazing in their own way.
And they are the best of friends.

The Slap made everything worse. Poor Sally. Ive never hated her character?; shes so brave and selfless. She had a reason to slap Sonic. He was going to leave her and fight again despite being gone for so long and being injured. Even main characters have to suffer.

Well in the Sonic comic, there was a moment where Sally talked to Sonic that she can't wait for both of them to get married in the future, with Sonic as her king. But then Sonic replied that it's not the time to think about marriage. War is happening and there are other things to worry about. I don't think he said this in a certain way that would be offensive, but Sally was mad. She even slapped him in front of everyone, while crying. Many people sees this as her being selfish and not thinking about what Sonic wants. I don't know why the creators did this, but it's a poor way of distributing Sally's personality to the readers. And even so, a moment in one's life does not define them for who they are. We know that Sally's done so much for her kingdom, and not out of selfish reasons, but for the love of her people. I gotta say, for a character like Sally, that moment ruined her, totally out of character.Β

I am more of a Sally fan myself, but there is a lot behind the two characters' relationship that is deeper than just "I'm a Sally fan!" "I'm an Amy fan!"
