The most common response I've seen is "But Pai was put on the council by Obama - it's Obama's fault." Which completely ignores the fact that Trump made Pai chairman, knowing full well what his position was on net neutrality. Pluss Obama put him on the council at McConnell's request - specifically for a position that MUST be held by a republican.
