Description Well irenerei (.deviantart.com) approached me with the idea for a collab for her characters, and needed some goth outfits.

Well, to what I understand.

I;ve never really done goth before, so some comments and criticism will help. Never dared to go into the Goth and lolita section

I focused on puffy skirts for a cuter, more chic look, fishnets, buckles and boots. Any ideas?

Well, enjoy! They are different from my usual tall and .. thinner models but I accidentally dropped by Monolith (the all-graphite, no wood pencil) and it broke near the front, so i had to draw with a tiny piece of graphite.

RAWR! Need to buy a need one. And copic too.

Gothic lolitas are those with puffy dresses but not bubbles. They ussually have boots and buckles, a real lot of buckles and corsets. With the color black, white and purple.[since I think black and red is for the goth emo type]

let's start from the far right

If you're unto gothic lolita [and not other types of goths] then this maybe the closest one. They usually have that sleeves. From my gothic lolita set, I've never seen one that doesn't have sleeves, since they're not some kind of hot chics, lolitas are not to the hot fashion but to the cute side... The boots are great and it really matches the dress...

Middle right...

Yeah, gothic lolitas could use a lot of these, but the sleeves were missing... I've never seen a lolita outfit without sleeves but this is great. The x something [I don't know what it's called] with that on the neck really give life to the dress design...

Middle left

This dress seems to be a little off topic[if you're unto gothic lolitas] slinky skirts are not really for lolitas but goths could use it.

far left

sleeves are missing too XD now I'm not really sure if it's for goths, or gothic lolitas
The dress design was great and could be really used by both styles, even though the sleeves were missing it still looks a lot like gothic lolita to me...

I'm not really a fashion critique but gothic lolitas have been my fav kind of fashion since they look "Innocently cute with a bit pinch of mystery" it's what you need to remember when designing their kind of fashion. Innocently cute for the dress layout and a bit pinch of mystery for the colors or the accessories.

[I think I should put this on critique instead XD]

^_^ lol okay... but honestly, If you stick to your style and managed to made it look like a Gothic Lolita, you'll probably be adorned more and more since Gothic Lolita are quite popular nowadays...

Corsets, chains, barbed wire...that's what the goths wear at my school. XD and Tripp pants...but these are dresses.

I wanna see some of these colored! Blacks and reds, and blacks and whites i think are the most "gothy" colors.

the ideas you have work great for goth and lolita (puffy skirts especially for lolita). you could try a short puffy skirt w/ a corset for another look. corsets are popular when it comes to both fashions and are pretty versatile in style. lacing is also generally something I see in both looks. (and sometimes bows for lolita but that might be pushing the gothic lolita look). if your still not entirely sure on how you want the styles to look I'd suggest google images and just looking around the web a little. you'll come up with some good images, but be careful which ones you click on or you might end up with some S&M. O_O
ps-stilettos are a good choice for shoes as are lace up wedges and boots.

hope that helped! and great job with the models you already have. ^_^

I think you've pretty much got it. The middle one on the left though, the one with the bikini top, I wouldn't quite call it gothic. Maybe if you made the skirt go all the way down to the feet, like the Morticia's dress (from The Addams Family [link] ) it would be more so. And I just mean the length, the style and how the skirt poofs at the end is fine the way it is. I just think it would be better if it was longer. o3o

That's just my two cents.

I really like the one on the far right, especially the bodice (I think that's what it's called) and the boots.
