And well this is also a illustration of our Story of: The Beauty and the Bat (german only)
I know some of you will be confused cause i already drew a picture where Severus is alive.... But well we won´t reveal how he survived ...
Let me just say, that even Emily is thinking at first that he died when Remus came to get her back to the others from Severus´ stately home of the Prince. And well the news Lupin have to tell her aren´t what she hoped and expected...
Also not for what Severus exactly gave his life... ;_;****************************
I just can tell you that it was very very hard to draw Severus dying!! ;____________; I haven´t seen the last movie til yet, just screenshots ect and i already cried.... So i did here...
Also i know i can´t draw a doe...^^"" But well i don´t like his patronus anyway...-.-

Lily has betrayed Snape, she was bad with him, she totally brokes their friendship, and she preferred to go with this stupid James ... She's just a bitch, we don't need to pay any attention to her. I hate Lily since I know Snape was his " bestfriend " and loved her, since I read the HP 6 ... At first, when Harry was talking about his parents, Lily and James, I was just thinking about a sad story and whateva ... But when I knew ALL Lily have doing, how much she was bad with this poor Snape, I just started to hate her. Hey, hello guys ! Lily pretented to be Snape's bestfriend, and you know what ? When he was annoyed by James and his band, she did nothing to help him ... And just because he said she was a mudblood, she decided that she will hate him and all ! fff seriously ! He was angry, he didn't do it on purpose, but woo ohmygoood Lily is sooo anrgy because he just said she was a mudblood, wooo ... Aw, this one is so sad and jet so full of power, but still, everything seems right. I love all of the details, like the end of the memory (I at least think that the blue thing is Severus' memory) is also Severus' patronus (is that the English word?).

Well I was asked that question often and actually it explains itself if you have read the books, but ok.
I try to explain this in detail:
1. When they were still 'best friends' and Lily is ranting about James and Co, the same time she defends him! She calls herself Severus' best friend and a second later she says he's unthankful because James saved his live... Sorry but in that case, I as a friend who paid attention over the past four years, would have known that it wasn't that easy! That perhaps it was a very bad and dangerous joke, because the Marauders always played tricks on Snape.
2. She defends the whole group playing tricks on him. They couldn't be bad or evil! Why not? Because they don't use black magic like the friends of Severus do. She tries to tell him that his interests are evil, but in my eyes she hand't got a clue. I see white and black magic not as good and evil. It's always the wizard which use it for good or bad things. For example: Ron knocked out a troll with a simple white spell, the Wingardium Leviosa. In another case I could kill someone by a flying rock! -.- On the other side can I protect someone with black magic, using it against an attacker. You see Lily condemn him by a simple interest... And with that she plays all down what James did, and I'm sure there were plenty bad and cruel things he did!
3. In Snape's memory in book 5 we see him in a situation where he's helpless. Lily joins as a sacred samaritan and try to 'protect' her friend. Well I would think that she was more angry with James and Sirius... At least Ron would have cursed Draco if it was him who let Harry flying upside down! In fact she was rather smiling when they presented her 'best friend's underwear to the whole school! Good girl, bravo!
4. He insulted her very badly which isn't right at all. Even if it was in a very special situation, cause he didn't wanted to be weak. But just a second after that she insults him too. She calls him by his nickname Sniffelus, say to him he should wash his underwear and let him behind. She didn't care about him anymore. Even if James let disappear Severus underpants only to humilate him for lifetime! What a great friend!
5. And now we come to the point where normal friends would start a discussion. Well he did something wrong, she did too, perhaps they would argue a bit more and then she could accept his excuse. We don't forget that he was sorry about calling her a Mudblood, but she didn't want to hear it. Instead she tells him, that she was ashamed! Yes really ashamed of him! Shouldn't it be the other way round that he as a Slytherin was ashamed of his Muggleborn friend? But he wasn't, he wanted to continue this friendship. Was willing to forget about her mistake to left him behind and she had nothing better to do as to send him off?
Well sorry and then she married Potter *rolls eyes* You can' tell me that he changed so much that he never laid a finger or his wand on Severus when he was together with Lily. So she didn't care about this anymore. Or perhaps she cared as much as she had when she was friends with that Slytherin? Why should she defend a person which she don't like, because he was such an ass? For me she only played a game. She wanted to be a nice person and that nobody could think bad of her. So it was her luck that he made a mistake and she had a reason to break up the 'friendship'. I hope this shows clearly why I hate her so much.
Most of all, Lily never deserves the love Severus offered to her. Because he paid for the rest of his lifetime for a guilt/mistake to protect Harry, just cause of her and suffer in all of it. Is that fair? He made just one lil mistake and what did she? So many people call this live of Snape romantic, passionate and wonderful because it's such a big love story but to be honest: THAT isn't romantic, that isn't passionate, that it just poor, unfair and very sad! Would you want such a life?

The thing is i don't think you read everything clearly. You see in the 5th book James DID hex Snape, but not as much, and Lily didn't know about it at all, when they were dating.
Snape called her, Lily, the love of his life the UNFORGIVABLE NAME of mudblood! James did change greatly, he grew up into a man, as did Serveus, but Serveus chose the way of evil, but again changed because he did love her. BUT, James changed EVERYTHING for her.
And Lily DID care that Snape was hurt, and embarrassed, but he had blown his OWN chances with Lily, he could've EASILY had her. Which is why James, started to hate Snape, because he knew that Lily might chose Snape over him.
But Snape would bring Lily down, or get her hurt. While James wouldn't.
And Lily really WAS sweet, and truly cared about people. i don't really want to go on, but Lily's great along with Sev, James, Harry and everyone else.

sorry to interrupt here, but I want to say a word or two in this discussion, too.
Sorry but what do you mean by: James did hex Snape but not as much? Sorry if I miss one spell but he casted an Expelliarmus (easy one without much harm), he casted a hex to "wash" his mouth, he used the Levicorpus and with tha the humiltated Severus like no one of us wish to experience ourselfes! Some of the other hexes where by Sirius, too but I really don't get what you meant with your sentence.
I find it very interesting that you first say that James went on playing tricks on Snape (even when you think that Lily didn't know, where it's simply my opinion that I don't think so, but no one of us can proove it, when I remember the books right). However right after that you write that James did change everything for Lily. Well I would expect that he even would stop hexing Severus?
Snape called her mudblood, she called him Snivellus. That may not be totaly equal for others, but it was the UNFORGIVABLE nickname for him, because it was always used by his two greatest archenemies! So as a real friend she should have discussed with him about his mistakes and not only break up the so called "best friendship"!
How do you know that she cared about him anymore? I personally can't recall a passage where someone says that she cared after this incident! You can correct me if I missed something.
Well as you wrote, Snape chosed the way of evil. But if he really would have done that when Lily has put more effort in being his friend we don't know. He was at Hogwarts stuck with all the other Slytherins, so it is naturall that you try to make friends with the people you share your bedroom or commonroom with. Of course he had his own hate against Muggles and Muggleborns from the beginning but no one ever seemed to try to find out where this hate cam from. You see you aren't born with that, so he learned to hate Muggles. (I can only guess that his father treated him very bad, because his mother wouldn't have told him to hate people who are like the man she married and had a child with.) If Lily would have understood the source where it came from then she might would have undertood, why he never before called her a mudblood or could ask herself why she was that expetion from the rule. At this point there could have been the possibility to work against his hate. But Lily fought with the wrong weapons only telling him that his friends are evil. She only critzise him, but don't try to help.
She critizes his unthankfullness to James, his friends, his interessets, his 'obsession' with the marauders, especially with Lupin, him being a Slthyerin and that she has to be ashamed in front of her other friends (greeeeaaaaaat friendship that shows really how much she cares about him *rolle eyes*) for only speaking with him.
I can't see much help in all of this, despite her half hearted help that turned out to be his worst memory.

oh well my bad. You see when James and Lily were dating, you said James stopped hexing Snape, but he didn't and Lily didn't know about it so it wasn't her fault.
So i have the book in my hand (5th book) and it's on chapter 28, which is Snape's worst memory. And on chapter 29, career advice.
As for Lily not caring, i do believe she did, i believe it showed in her actions, and i believe she always regretted losing Sev, but loved James enough to forget her troubles, even though what Lily really wanted was to have James and be friends with Sev.
Lily really did appreciate Sev's friendship and as mentioned earlier, wished it had continued. (doesn't say that in the book)
But in my opinion, Lily is a great person who would do anything to write the wrongs she made in life.
And she does care, and loved Sev, but like a brother.

No I didn't say that James stopped hexing Snape, but thanks for the advice with chapter 29 (I forgot that passage)
I want to quote this part:
"'And my mum was OK with that?'
'She didn't know too much about it, to tell you the truth,' said Sirius. 'I mean, James didn't take Snape on dates with her and jinx him in front of her, did he?'"
Soooooo this menas for me he didn't hex Snape on purpose in front of her, but she wasn't clueless at all. I doesn't say, she didn't know about it, it says she didn't know TOO MUCH about it -> ergo she ignored the little informations that she knew. And so James didn't changed everything for Lily, as you wrote it in your comment before, cause he still continued his hexing.
Well if you believe so... I can't change someones believing like a religion, but perhaps you can tell me what actions make you think so about Lily. Well and I personally would think it would be more worse if I have to be friends with my archenemy because my best friend/girlfriend want me to, than only have to accept it that she is together/friends with that person I don't even want to talk to.
Excuse me but when you write it doens't say it in the book, then why should I think that Lily appreciated this friendship with him or that he was like a brother to her? She said herself, that she was ashamed of him in front of her other friends who couldn't understand why she was even talking to that Slytherin. I would want to discuss about the incident, want to fight for the friendship so it doesn't have to end, but Lily was the one who didn't even wanted to hear his excuse and sent him away. He should save his breath. Here she didn't fought for him, but against him.

but James changed so much, and Snape still hexed James you couldn't expect him to take that lying down, now could you?
If Snape really loved her, than he wouldn't have said the unforgivable name, And since James really DID love her, he would have put up with Sev, but Sev was out of her life.
And i believe in Lily the way i do because, everyone says she was sweet, kind, caring, loving, and just the best person to know. She would help anybody, if she got the chance.
As for the sentence, Lily, if she got the chance to ever fix a mistake she made, she would do it. And you're great at English by the way.
It showed that Lily appreciated the friendship because she fought for it. Now what i mean is, though out all the years of their friendship, she excused Snape's "friends" but during fifth year, she couldn't take it anymore. That's when she cracked. She fought it when she defended him in front of her friends all the time, she fought it when everyone said Snape would let her down. She wanted the friendship to last. And believe me she tried, but when someone calls you a FILTHY LITTLE MUDBLOOD! it's gonna hit home, and you're not going to want to be friends with them EVER AGAIN
I hope you see that Lily really was such a special girl, and did not know that James was still hexing Sev, and that she wished everything was better.

Well there is a difference between defending yourself and attack another person. Well Snape didn't stopped but it seems that James did more than just defend himself.
I don't think that you or Lily got it. Of course calling her a mudblood was the worst thing ever to do and it was a mistake. A big mistake. But you seem to ignore his situation. A male youngster has some pride and that was badly hurted when they stated out, that he has to hide behind a girl, a Muggleborn, a Gryffindor! He tried to appear stronger than he actually was and not to give Potter and his friend another reason to bully him. With his back to the wall Severus was cornered by James and Sirius like an animal and if that spoken animal bites the hand that tries to help him, you don't blame it. Of course Snape is human, so he would have alternatives, but he didn't knew it better in this critical moment.
As I said: He DID made a mistake!
But the point is he wanted to apologize! He knew that this was the wrong way to act, but she didn't gave him another chance.
You really think that James would have been fine with that? He was jealous because he knew that Snape liked Lily a bit more than a friend. You really think that he would have accepted it that these two would stay friends? With a boy/man who is in love with his girlfriend?
And on the other side would have Snape wanted to be friends with that gyu who bullied him over 5 years? He and his friends got away with everything in his eyes, even with tried murder when Sirius told him how to follow Remus. They had fun when he was suffering. You don't believe that these two men would have ever been more than enemies, don't you? Even when they are 'friendly' on the surface, just to please the woman they both loved, they would wait for their chance to rip the other one to shreds.
Oh please, you believe that Lily was a nice person, because her friends and teachers told Harry? Sorry but what do you expect from them to say? No Harry your mother was sometimes kinda unfair and your father was cruel when he was in your age, cause he was entertained by hexing others. Sirius and Remus try to hold on the good picture of James even when Harry himself says he thought his dad was an idiot and that he himself felt sorry for Snape. As Harry said, he is in the same age and doesn't do the things his father did. Being young is no excuse for being cruel. Uncontrolled maybe yeah, but James and Sirius were totally calm when they played tricks on others. They did it on purpose and not that it happened accidently. Seriously whatever flaws James and Lily had and whatever other people didn't liked about them, it vanished when they sacrificed themselves for their son. From this moment on they were untouchable heroes. Everyone wanted to say something good about such a woman.
But clearly when I read the passage from book seven when Harry can watch the memories of Voldemort of this evening, then I'm asking myself how stupid the Potters could be. No one was armed with a wand. James wand was laying right beside him on the sofa, when he jumped up to the sound of the bursting front door. He tries to stop Voldemort without any wand and Lily uns upstairs and is wandless, too. She could have helped Harry and herself better when she had something for defending, or she could have apparated. Whatever, but they knew they were hunted and in great danger and then this?
But well they both were so bloody brilliant as they were described by everybody, weren't they?
Brilliant and intelligent, but not so good to ask herself in 7 years what is wrong with Remus Lupin? The idea of him being a werwolf is ridiculous for her.

Well but I can't se it that way. She herself made (in my eyes) the mistake to abadon her 'best friend' and she never fixed it. I didn't expected her to do this when Snape was a Death Eater, but what about when he changed sides? In the letter Snape/Harry found in Sirius room at Grimmauldplace she didn't wrote a word about him. For me there didn't seemed any contact between them, altough it was his warning who rescued (for some time) her and her family's life.
Well Lily made excuses for his friends and was ashamed of him. But what about Severus? He was a Slytherin and all of his friends hated Muggleborns. You think it was for him easy to hold up a friendship with someone like her? She complained about his life and his interests, he didn't. He didn't complain about her friends that didn't liked or hated him.
And I can recall this passage very good, but can you remember that she wasn't one bit better than him?

She made the same mistake as he did. He insulted her, she insulted him. Quit pro quo if you ask me. And I can repeat it again: He regreted his mistake, she didn't.
Why should I see her as that girl, she wasn't? Why should I believe that she didn't knew James was still hexing him, when the book clearly says: She didn' knew MUCH?
For me this says she didn't care MUCH *cough* because she had a clue but ignored it.

IMO, this is the greatest piece you've done! I love it! The shadows, Harry's glasses, the blue patronus, the blood....the black/white/gray Lupin and Emily...the spotlights on Snape and Emily&Lupin...it's all very simple but looks magnificent!
I am, however, interested in finding out how you and your other friend keep Snape alive, lol.

She is my OC and its just something new. Some sweet person once said about that fact something i would like to quote cause i think it fits perfectly:
It really brings out the point that one (Snape) is known for everybody with Rickman's face and that your OC is truly that, yours. Which means you have completely power over her but not over Snape, as it would put you in a difficult position to change something about him.
