Greetings!This is my new completed comission. My friend wanted it to be Kirin-like, have golden scales and blue eyes, everything else was given to my imagination.
This scupture took 50(!) hours to make. I'm realy proud of how it turned out.

Very lovely piece! ^.^ It's hard enough to come up with good composition in a 2D form, I can only imagine how much more difficult it must be in three dimensions.Β
I love the casual spread of the wings, and the curly spiral of the tail.

I wish sculpting was something I'd had more of a chance to learn. I still hope to take some classes in it and armatures one of these days when I can pay for it out of pocket.
I know enough to work with some of the tools, and I've done masks and pots before, but not actual figures.
