Perfect Timing

Arcee patrolled along the lonely road outside the base. The clear night sky shone over the flat land, so she could see if anyone or anything was around her.
Not like there was anyone there at the moment.

That evening, it was Bulkhead's turn to take the watch, but she offered to do it instead. However, what she had in mind for that night wasn't for patroll....Optimus had given her the position, and she soon left the rest of the Autobots.

She was heading for a certain spot in the desert, where no one would see her, there wasn't a town anywhere around. The sky was open to her, though some mountains lay in the distance.

She soon made it there, and transformed, optics fixated on the sky. She sat and waited....and waited.

"He should be here soon..." she murmured to herself quietly.

At that moment, the sound of an approaching aircraft reached her audios. She turned sharply towards the sound, ready to transform if it was a human jet, or fight if it was a decepticon.

As it drew nearer, she squinted. It was certainly a jet, alright. It's shadow cast a long black streak along the plains, crossing over her.

As the jet drew even nearer, she started to smile; she could recognize that colour scheme anyday.

The airial bot transformed mid-air, and landed with a very loud thud and a large cloud of dust. When the dust cleared, the figure stood tall and crooked over her, red optics flashing into her own.

"Sarscream, you're late." Arcee cocked her hip, and crossed her arms, giving an angry look at the mech.

The mech laughed nervously and rubbed his helm with a claw.
"My apologies, Arcee. Megatron had given me a bit more work then I had intended on. I had to stay behind a bit longer. Plus, Soundwave was being a bother and wouldn't open a groundbridge for me!" He gesticulated to prove his point even further.

"And how is that possible? He can't talk." She raised an optic ridge, clearly not believing him.

His optics drooped with unamusement and irritation. "Don't ask."

They continued like this for quite some time, chatting on and on about random things, talking about recent things that had happened, and still telling each other their lives.

Starscream looked at Arcee sadly while his intercom buzzed him to return to his station. He sighed and got up from the ground, pulling Arcee with him.

"My sweet Arcee.....I wish we could talk longer, but I'm afraid reality calls." He shrugged.

Arcee rolled her optics and placed a lazy arm on his hip. "Well, aren't you forgetting something?" She smiled.

Starscream took this opportunity to place gentle servos on her hips as well. "Of course not Arcee," he spoke with a smirk. They leaned in together so they could kiss.....

They stopped just before coming in contact with each other, their optics squinted from a sudden burst of sunlight coming out from the mountains. They watched the sky turn into a beautiful array of colours, and looked at each other lovingly. The small femme raised a servo to gently touch Starscream's chin, bringing him slightly closer.

"What perfect timing...." she whispered as she placed her lips apon his.
