I think I might upload the comic in a side-by-side type of format. To show the drawing verses digital part.
Sooner or later I'll go totally digital and won't use paper. Once I start with backgrounds, I might have to use paper again for scetching.

It's like a competitive hobby between Redshift and Basher to see who can inflate bigger without popping.

Think of a balloon popping, but a bit quieter. They loose all the air inside there bellies in a few short seconds. Most of the time, for Redshift, he only has a small cut where the air escaped from.
And of course, as you would expect, popping hurts. Redshift doesn't like popping because of that, and it takes time to the wound to heal so he can't inflate himself while it's healing. Otherwise the wound would prevent him from inflating by opening and letting the air out.

He likes inflating himself. It's like a hobby to him.
The popping part does hurt him a fair bit. He usually runs out of helium to inflate himself with before his belly starts hurting from being so big.

That's because the tub Redshift has in his mouth is blocking people from seeing his teeth at the moment.

Redshift wouldn't inflate as big as he is right now if he didn't sort of bite down on the tube and make sure that his lips were around it decently so the helium wouldn't come out.
(That was a lot to say in one breath. XD)

Well, there is another trick: just gulp down the hose, and keep gulping and push it in until it poke the belly! Your throat has a....well....thing....that prevent air from coming out! How is it possible to stay super-bloated for more than a day if the air surposed to get out from the throat, or burp?
Also, it feels funny when it poke your belly from inside. XD Hehehe.

Redshift: MmmmmMmm. (I never thought about that. Thanks!) MmmmMmmmmmMm. (My belly deflates by itself over time. But if my powers are suppressed too much when I wear this bandana on ym right wrist, my poowers inflkate me to my max within seconds, and it takes a good 3 days before I start delfating.
