Only one person has successfully ridden 682... and both backed away from 173 while maintaining eye contact

And that one person was Dr Kondraki. He is the one doctor at the SCP Foundation that is more like a clown than anything else. He breaks the rules on purpose just for laughs. And in the story Solomen mentioned there, he let's 682 free. Just because he wanted to ride on his back, completely ignoring the fact 682 right away set off on bloody rampage all the way through the site. XD

Haha yeah! He's kind of the comic relief to the dark and gloomy story of the Foundation, along with Dr Bright XD
One thing that surprised me the most about that story, was that 682 spoke the most he ever has. Having a short conversation with Dr Kondraki after smashing him against the walls, and pretty much everything to get him off. Actually sparing Kondraki's life and letting him go..

Not really, his kind were originally created through genetics as a bio-weapon, however they possessed no natural aggression and refused to fight without a reason (aka, not because someone told them too).
That doesn't mean, however, that they can't fight when provoked. And it's a times like these when you really want to be on their good side.
Also, as a random effect, every now and then one is born with a metallic disk on the top of its head. The reason of this disk is as of yet still unknown.

Also.. Did you know of the story "Bellerverse?" Its a now canon story, set millennia after the apocalypse. Its on The SCP foundation website. It tells of what happens to SCP 682, after the collapse of the SCP foundation in the first and last chapter.
